At a military base near Dzhankoi in Crimea on Wednesday (17/8/2022), a day after the base was attacked, the fire raged on and ammunition exploded.

Around 3,000 people had to be evacuated during the chaos.

According to Sky News, Ukrainian special troops operating inside the peninsula's Russian occupation carried out the attack.

On Wednesday, a helicopter was used to put out the fire, according to Sergei Aksyonov, the leader of the Crimea, but ammunition kept going off.

He stated that the hunt for the perpetrators is still on.
