Elon Musk Openly Admits To Using Diet Drugs To Lose Weight

Elon Musk has bluntly admitted to taking the drug Wegovy and following a fasting diet to lose weight. This was revealed directly by him when one of his fans asked him via Twitter.

Hi, @elonmusk, what's your secret? You look amazing: fit, muscular, and healthy. Lifting weights? "Eating healthy?"  said Eva McMillan, one of Elon Musk's fans.

"Fasting and wegovy," Musk replied, as quoted by the New York Post on Friday (10/14/2022).

Wegovy is an injectable prescription drug that adults with obesity or overweight problems use to help them lose weight. This drug should be used with a low-calorie meal plan and increased physical activity.

Wegovy is known to contain semaglutide and should not be used with other semaglutide-containing products or other GLP-1 receptor agonist drugs. The requirements for taking this drug are having a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more, or a BMI of 27 or more (overweight).

Previously, wegovy was a drug originally developed to help manage diabetes. However, since last summer, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has given permission to use wegovy as a long-term or chronic weight management drug.
