Replace Al Rihla, Al Hilm Becomes Official Ball for the 2022 World Cup Semifinals and Final

The 2022 World Cup semifinals and finals will use a new ball named Al Hilm. This official adidas ball replaces the previous ball, Al Rihla.

This ball is named Al Hilm, which means "dream" in Arabic. This dream is taken as a continuation of Al Rihla, which means "journey."

Just like Al Rihla, Al Hilm's ball also uses the latest technology, which has proven to have helped a lot in the performance of match equipment from the group phase to the quarterfinals.

The base color of this Al Hilm ball is gold, which is inspired by the colors of the desert that surrounds Qatar's capital, Doha. This color also symbolizes the gold in the World Cup trophy.

Meanwhile, the ball motif uses maroon, which is taken from the color of the Qatari flag.

"Al Hilm represents a beacon of light on the power of sport and football to bring the world together," said Nick Craggs, general manager of soccer at adidas.

"Millions of people will be watching from almost every country around the world, united by their passion for the game." "We wish all the teams involved in the final stages of the tournament the best of luck as they compete on the biggest stage that football has to offer."
